I tried to make this thing work. I really didn't want to send it back. I assumed that it was some kind of software problem. Updated the Windows 7 that it came with. Then, when that didn't work, I tried reinstalling the OS - three times. 64 bit and finally 32 bit. The system constantly stopped responding. Troubleshooters didn't work - even the troubleshooter for the troubleshooters didn't work. Restarts always began with chkdsk running through a routine that took most of an hour. Something is wrong. Don't know if it's software or hardware. But I would suggest adding one more item to the checklist that you sent certifying that the machine "meets or exceeds your high standards". Turn it on and see if it actually works.
