Worst percale sheets I've ever owned
from San Francisco,  Sep 15, 2012

First of all, unlike many of the reviewers, I know what percale is, and I know the material dries with wrinkles, and I know it takes many washing for their soft character to develop. My family has always used percale and taught me what the quality of these sheets are, and warned me about the cheap quality of sateen. However, these 450 TC sheets are not my grandmother' percale. I've owned them a year now and they have yet to soften. The weave is course, not fine, as in should be in a well made percale sheet. And you feel that coarseness on the bed. Perhaps Indian manufactured percale will never reach the heights of Italian made percale (which is the case for most of the towels coming from that country). But that's what you get for under $$$ a set...poorly manufactured percale. Save up for the real deal, they are worth it, and will outlast anything with the word sateen in it.
