While the sheets are relatively soft to the touch, they are poorly constructed and the opposite of supple (almost like brushed canvas). They are so uncomfortable to sleep in (because they are starchy/crunchy) that I will never make the bed with them again. The bottom line is that they look cheap and feel cheap. Spend your money on a sheet set that is made well (even if it has a much lower thread count). I've certainly learned my lesson.
