This is a very pretty bed and it is well made. I think, I misunderstood that the posts are actually metal and finished like wood but it probably adds to the durability. You really can't tell just by looking at it so I am pleased with this purchase and so was my teenaged daughter. The LeAnn nightstand is a beautiful addition to it.
