I've had the Cuisinart DCC-2000 model for years and eventually the dispenser plug does wear out and start to leak. So this was a replacement buy. I like the reconfiguration of the removable water tank - makes it handy to fill from a frig dispenser. Like some reviewers have noted - for a stronger cup of coffee - select the 1-4 cup button even if you brew the full 12-cups. Otherwise this version operates just like the old DCC-2000 which is simple and not a lot of fuss. I've been using it almost daily for the last month or so and everything works great and coffee tastes great.
