I was reluctant to purchase this coffee table, not really trusting how the "silvering" of the cross legs would show up close. I was happy to report that the silver paint was well-applied and works surprising well with the contrasting espresso finish. The tempered glass is thick, and the chrome circle "buffers" where the top rests over the legs make the entire piece look very upscale. The efficient design maximizes space without sacrificing surface area--the lower shelf can be used to display collectibles, books or magazines, without visual obstruction from above, and still have the entire glass top for cocktails, coffee or flowers. Assembly was easy, all holes were aligned, all finishes were free of chips, dings and scratches. The glass top was very well packaged inside the shipping box.
