The consumer review aspect is a company's most valuable asset. Here is ours of this product. My wife and i have tried various type's of bedding, i.e. spring, air, water, & foam. So we were aware of what to expect in our purchase of this bed(mattress). And it is with pleasure that we are able to say that, as with most other products we have purchased from Overstock, it was "Money Well Spent"! Quality, appearance, and function compare to similar brand name products. Price to value far exceeds every other competitor. Bedding is by nature, a personal experience to all people of all ages. As we are in our late 50's, to most people in our age bracket, aches and pains are beginning to be to often unwanted companions. So a quality nights sleep is a revered experience for us. As mentioned, having tried other types of bedding, the foam mattress for us is the type that allows us that quality of sleep with the least amount of aches.(pressure points) If you are the type of person that wants a mattress to engulf, and wrap around you, as you sink into it, then do NOT buy this mattress. It is rather FIRM at the onset, but does in short amount of time soften to the degree that it contours your entire body, without pressure points that cause most aches and pains. Now as to it's packaging. The canvas bag it comes in is sufficient for protection and hygiene if freight handlers are careful. As others have mentioned, it is hefty, but manageable. It does reach it's full height rather quickly. Ours came early am. we slept in it that night. We did NOT notice any odor as mentioned by others. Delivery was in the 7-10 day time frame. All in all, this was an excellent purchase for us, one we would make again with NO reservations. Just be sure of what you expect in your type of bedding, and you will have NO regrets.
