The quality of the leather appeared suitable. However the craftmanship and construction of the chair is poor. It is held together by 4 short bolt screws. Instead of the screws fully screwing into the back end of the chaise, they are just meant to hold the two pieces together by inserting the end of the screws into the holes of the back piece. Therefore it falls apart all the time. It seemed defective. The only way to keep it sturdy is to place the chaise against the wall. For the price it was not worth having such a poor product. I am thinking that many of Overstock's items are gained from liquidation because they are defective in some manner. Also, Overstock intially sent me the item with no legs or screws. They did send replacement hardware,, but the replacement hardware did not work either. I was very satisfied with Overstock's customer service, but not with this item. Likewise i did not keep it.
