You cannot leave them sit empty or they will tip over cuz the handle is heavier than the pan. I have never had a pan that won't sit upright without tipping over, eggs stuck the first two times. The nonstick coating is peeling away from the top rim/lip of the pan and have only used them 4-5 times.
