When the items came, I immediately set them up. They have rubber-like legs(?) attached with plastic discs that get pushed up against the bottom on the cutting boards. I don't find that to be especially sturdy. They do not fit very well on the stovetop - they seemed wobbly. The boards themselves are very nice...I'm happy with them. I will probably use them on the counters without the legs.
