I was quite skeptical to buy a no name mattress from overstock which has which only has an inspect before you accept policy on mattresses, however, the price was too good to overlook. I placed the order for a full size and two days later the box arrived. It shipped via DHL in a 14"x14"x4.5' box. Unwrapping it was slightly difficult due to the fact that its vacuum packed and that I didn't want to use a knife to cut the plastic. As soon as the tension keeping it compressed was gone, it started inflating. By the time I placed it into my bed platform, it was almost fully expanded. I checked the tag and the bed was made just the other day right here in Chicago. It also had a prototype number on it. It didn't have much of a chemical or plastic smell and wasn't noticable at all after a few hours and a pair of sheets were put on. After several nights of sleeping on it, I am all smiles. The bed is enveloping but firm. I am a cold sleeper and didn't find the bed to be too warm which was one of my concerns. The memory effect doesn't last as long (how long it takes for the depression made by your hand to disappear) as the tempurpedic but I don't think that really detracts from the comfort. If your looking for the softness, of a pillowtop, this might not be your bed but if you like a firm bed thats supportive, definately don't over look this mattress.
