I bought this book for my 6 year old grandson. He began learning to read in kindegarten but not that well. My daughter said he really liked the books. She sat with him as he read the first book and then told him to call her if he didn't help. He didn't. The books are easy for a beginning reader to read. His confidence has grown in his reading abiity. He read a couple of the books to his sister as her bedtime story.
