So I got these chandeliers (2) for over my island and then one of my table. Chandelier Base Itself: weird random holes all over the chandelier that are not intended for crystals. I'll try to take a pic and show what I mean. This was almost a deal breaker for me. I mean why the extra holes? If the holes were intended for crystals why aren't there wire attachments to add the crystals. This is my 4th crystal chandelier to ad to our home so I know crystals and how to add them. These holes are just odd. Might add tiny jewelry magnets painted black and swag crystals over these holes to cover them. Paint: 1 chandelier came with paint issues (perhaps a scratch and it was attempted a repair with touch up paint), customer service comped me a bit for it instead of replacing the entire chandelier. I appreciated that and just turned the one chandelier to where you can't see it. Color is true soft shiny black. Shades: The shades are great. Beautiful actually when lit. Crystals: I sold them. They were cheap. However, I'm used to Swarovski so I replaced all crystals with those. Makes a HUGE difference in my opinion. I paid $150 on sale, added the Swarovski crystals, velvet cord cover and ceiling medallion and it looks like I paid about $500 a chandelier. It's a great basic IMO an for the price can't be beat! Just add a few things to give it pop. Now I feel like my chandelier should be in the Bellagio. Love it, minus those extra holes!!
