I am happy with this purchase! Like other reviewers said, it is a really good purchase for a really decent price. At times the bed can look almost black because the brown is so dark, so I would personally perfer it to be just one shade lighter. But I feel that the site explained the color well, and it was the color that I expected. My dark wood end tables help to bring out the chocolatey-brown of the bed, so overall I did achieve the color scheme I was aiming for. Also, with my mattress and box spring, the top of my bed came up much higher on the headboard than the picture shows. With my pillows propped up against it, the headboard can be difficult to see. I don't mind that, but someone looking for a statement headboard like the picture shows might be disappointed. In all, a great purchase. And my husband said it wasn't nearly as bad to put it together as he had anticipated, so he is happy too! :o)
