I was doubtful that an auto darkening helmet of this price class would hold up to frequent use. Although it is not as robust as some "pro" helmets, it is very well made and has held up to daily use for more than a month with no signs of slowing down. It has been dropped multiple times and banged repeatedly while up on my head with no signs of damage other than a few scuffs. If you are a professional welder you can justify paying $200+ for a helmet but if you are a hobby welder this is just the ticket.
