First, the "saddle tan" color is actually a rich, medium reddish brown. Nice rustic color but definitely not the same as the picture. I'm using it as a bag for my massive laptop. It's durable but heavy and does not look like everyone else's laptop bag. I like it because I was tired of the same black canvas bag- needed something feminine but not girly. I would use this as an overnight bag if I'm staying somewhere local. I would not recommend using this on trips that require light packing- the bag is just too heavy and cumbersome to be practical. But it's a hot bag.
