This was bought for my father-in-law for Christmas so we loaded photos onto it before giving it to him. When I first turned it on the digital images was awful. There were lines across the monitor and it looked as if it were bad. But a few minutes later the picture became clear. It was very easy to load the photos onto the unit and setting the frame to slidshow was also very easy. I only wished that there was a "random" setting option on the slidshow. This would be nice so the different family photos would be mixed up instead of all being clumped together. The other thing that I didn't like was scanned photos loaded onto the frame. I scanned both color and b&w photos off of my HP scanner onto my computer and then onto the frame. When the photos I scanned appeared on the frame, the color was horrible. So bad that I had to remove thm completely. This was a huge disappointment since we were wanting to include older photo album photos. I went back to my computer and printed one of the scanned photos off of my printer and the color came out fine. So if you're looking to scan photos and then load them onto the frame, this may not be the product for you. Overall this is a great frame for the money. It's well built and looks sharp. Just the one glitch though.
