Everyone elses reviews made this an easy purchase. I was so excited to see it looked just like the picture on the computer....and i have my computer set to factory setting colors. I don't mess with the "colors" on my computer. Anyway....they sent along with the carpet, care and cleaning instructions. It is 100% wool and hand made. So you do have to be careful when cleanning it. One thing they emphasise is that if you need to spot clean it, to (of course) check for colorfastness in a discreet area, and then blot. DO NOT RUB! or the fibers will look worn in that spot. Blot, blot, blot....and then blot again. So i stored that handy sheet under the rug.....it clearly will not be seen and is easy to find when i need to refer it. I have had the carpet for 1 month now.....and wow, there is still a good amount of carpet fiber coming up. It is much less then the 1st week......but still a good amount. I have a bagless vacuum and still filled the vacuum completely each time. i also have 2 cats, mostly white but with some black hair on their backs......so i was a little nervous as to how much hair i would see on this carpet. (i have a burgandy carpet in a different room and shows the hair horribly!!) I am pleased to say....i barely see it!!! I see the clumps of carpet fiber more!! i usally vacuum everyday anyway due to having cats and all the hair.......but be prepared to vaccum everyday just because of the carpet fiber. (this carpet is located in our family room - high traffic). Here is a great story for you too......my 16 year old son came home from school and dropped his backpack on the floor (on this beautiful new rug) and went about doing something other than homework.....about an hour later, i moved the bag to vacuum and saw a dark "mud" spot on the carpet where his bag was......and thought, "OH great! ....my first stain.....blot, blot, blot" So i run the vacuum over it to pick up the loose mud and OMG!! it was not mud.....it was INK!!! A PEN EXPLODED IN HIS BAG!! and dripped thru onto my new rug.....i wanted to puke! it was the size of a quarter, but the worst part was, when i vacuumed over it, i dragged some of the ink (since i didn't know it was ink) across the carpet......now it went from bad to worse! so i got out a product called "spot shot" (can get it at wal-mart) and kept spraying.....blotting.....spraying......blotting....so on and so on.......i know this will sound hard to believe, but 95% of it came up! we used rubbing alcohol too. There is just maybe a dime sized darker orange (where the ink was) and the part i dragged with the vacuum, actually came up easily because it was surface. because ithe stain was amongst the flowers and not in an open orange area......you hardly notice it. My husband tried a little soap in an hidden area and it did pull up some of the orange color so we did not use that on the spot. So be careful with what you choose to use on it when cleaning. Spot shot works for many things.....didn't know it would work for ink.. :) If you're on the fence with this rug.....well, i hope this pushes you you off to go buy it! Great qualtiy for the price!
