I purchased this fan for my two grandsons. An electrician installed the fan for us since it is heavy and we needed support in the ceiling. The fan operates using a remote, which we thought would be a nice feature since my daughter could control the lights and fan speed without coming into the room. The fan was great for about a week. Then the remote stopped working. Since it can only be run via the remote, we have a nice decorative fan and light that does nothing. We have contacted Overstock and are trying to get a solution to our problem since the fan we bought is no longer available. Hope something can be done.
