There's nothing remarkable about these rings besides the fact that they provide the necessary clearance on a flat-top AR-15 frame (using a typical 3-9x40 scope). You could probably keep your BUIS. I would recommend them for use with inexpensive scopes only, and preferably on a plinker rifle. I could see them marring up a nice, parkerized finish very easily. So far I can't testify as to how they'll react to recoil. I would ABSOLUTELY use Loctite Blue threadlock and refrain from messing with it after you've gotten everything mounted/sighted.
