So far, I've had no problem with the pen portion, and the laser pointer hasn't failed yet, but the USB portion has been wraught with problems. When the pen arrived, the glue holding the USB drive in place didn't. So when unscrewing the cover, the whole assembly would turn. I was able to "fix" this using some rubber cement tape I had around. This gave the assembly some good holding power (so far). The USB drive itself doesn't seem to accept files transferred to the drive. They appear while the drive is active, but when you "safely remove the device", the files stored within directories all disappear (or rather, don't seem to be written to the device.) The three directories I created appeared fine, but nothing added to them is available. I even used a recovery program, to no avail. Since all was lost already, I formatted the drive (FAT) and attempted to copy a file into a directory. Of course, the directory is fine, but there was no file. On the second attempt, I copied the file twice.. Once to the directory, and once to the root of the drive. The next check of the drive looked fine. I just checked again and they are there. I added another file. and closed the drive. That file is there. There must be some trick to getting the files to write correctly. I checked the properties each time to make sure the size changed.. Perhaps that is the trick.. LOL Good luck with this drive if you buy it, but buyer beware.
