I wanted to get this ring for my girlfriend, (she helped me pick it out but didn't know what it was for), but we were really disappointed. The ring was really beautiful, and the sparkle was incredible. However, there was a very large feather inclusion that spanned across the entire diameter of the center stone. Is wasn't as visible in artificial light, but in the sunlight, it was clearly apparent. The diamonds had great color, very clear, but you couldn't look at the ring without seeing the inclusion. Never have buying a diamond ring before, I wasn't sure what to expect from the clarity ratings. But what from I saw online, most inclusions on small black dots, most not visible to the naked eye. Customer service was very helpful in sending me another ring, but it was never shipped. I called a week later and they said that it was all ready to go, but no one finalized the shipping... They also did me a favor but no one else except for the managers in the jewelry department knew what was going on so it was hard to get through to the service reps answering the phone. The replacement ring was worse than the first. First of all, the ring was supposed to be a size 5.5, but it was clearly a 6. The diamonds were really cloudy and all the 3 diamonds are clearly visible inclusion. The diamonds were also smaller, but it does say in the description that the actual carat weight varies. We almost considered keeping the first one, but we read that feather inclusions result from a stress fracture, and if the fracture spreads, the diamond could break in half. We returned both and will be saving our money for a different ring. Even though $850 isn't a lot of money in the diamond world, it was a lot of money in our world and we couldn't feel comfortable purchasing a ring we weren't sure of. I will save up more money and purchase from a jeweler so I can see the ring first. I'm not sure if I would purchase online again.
