The ruby is my birthstone but is very difficult to find. I purchased these earrings to match a ring and necklace I bought elsewhere. They had earrings to match but they were defective and, in addition, much more expensive. I was very pleased when I discovered these earrings at Overstock because they are a very close match, however, they are really small or perhaps better described as dainty. I am sure I will enjoy wearing them many times.
