You have plenty of big, fluffy towels to keep you warm when you hit the bathroom's cold tile floor after a shower. But haven't you forgotten something? Staying cozy after you have dried off requires a bathrobe to wear when you really need to warm up. A luxurious bathrobe can be a particularly great addition to your morning or evening shower or simply a soft piece of clothing to wrap up in on a lazy weekend. Still not convinced you need to buy one? Here are five more reasons you'll want to make sure you have a robe in your bathroom.
House guests may pay you an extended visit. You can avoid a dash from the bathroom to your closet when you have a robe ready. A bathrobe that is long enough to keep you covered is the perfect solution to a relative who doesn't understand your need for privacy. Keep an extra bathrobe on hand for house guests to use while they're staying at your home, too.
You can cut back on towels. If you choose a terrycloth bathrobe or spa bathrobe, the fabric will absorb moisture and keep you warm, making towels unnecessary, except for drying your hair. A bathrobe is also a great alternative to a towel when you've been caught in a rainstorm and need to dry off and warm up.
Swimming doesn't have to be so chilly. Have you ever gone swimming and forgotten an oversized towel to dry off with? Small hand towels don't work nearly as well as a terrycloth bathrobe does. A robe can also be a cozy swimsuit cover-up for both the local swimming pool and the beach.
It makes a great Halloween costume. If you're stumped about what to wear for your next costume party, just put pink curlers in your hair, thick glasses on your nose, and a bathrobe over your pajamas. When it's not Halloween, a robe over your pajamas will add extra warmth and coverage, especially if the bathrobe is knee-length or longer.
Bathrobes are perfect for a girl's night in. On those nights when your friends all come over, you can host a spa night in your stylish robe. It will be the perfect outfit for pedicures, face masks, popcorn, and a movie.
