Your little bundle of joy deserves the cleanest possible baby bedding. Ensuring that you clean your baby bedding properly can be intimidating, but there's no need to panic. Take a look at the hints below to learn how to wash baby bedding.
Remove all the bedding from the crib. Depending on the type and style of your crib bedding, this may include untying the crib bumper, removing the bed skirt and taking the sheet off of the mattress.
Place in washing machine. Place all baby bedding of similar colors in your washing machine. You may need more than one load.
Add detergent. Make sure to add a small amount of a mild laundry detergent that is specifically formulated for baby laundry before beginning the wash cycle.
Turn washer on. When you're choosing settings for the wash cycle, consider warm or hot water, as it will help better disinfect the baby bedding.
Dry the bedding. Once the baby bedding is washed, it's time to dry it. If you're using a dryer, avoid scented dryer sheets, as they can irritate baby skin. You can also air-dry the bedding using a clothesline.
Replace the bedding. After the baby bedding has finished drying, properly replace it in the crib.
