pricing on mulberry?
Hello dear overstock-team, I already posted this question on the actual product site http://www.overstock.com/Clothing-Shoes/Mulberry-Green-Printed-Leather-Satchel/6811363/product.html?productQuestionResponse=SUCCESS but I am still curious (and very interested ;)) about this bag. Please excuse my asking if the bag is authentic and understand my perseverance - I just bought a fake bag 2 months ago and felt deeply betrayed. My question is: The Mulberry Day Travel Lizard has been on sale quite a while ago and was priced around 600 in all major luxury online shops, e.g. http://www.net-a-porter.com/product/190511 But you still price it with the original price and that seems a bit, sorry, odd. I can wait for some time and see if a sale affects the price, but I would actually really appreciate if you could drop the price to the level all other shops agreed on in their sales. Thanks so much for your response, you got a great customer service team there! ninavera
Hello ninavera, Thank you for your interest in shopping with us. Unfortunately, the prices are not set by Overstock.com. When a product is developed, the manufacturer sets the MSRP, and this provides a single point of comparison for all retailers. Prices on product pages reflect the application of both the exchange rate and a markup to cover additional customs, taxes, shipping and handling costs that Overstock.com incurs when delivering a product to our international customers. In instances where this markup does not cover the full amount of these additional costs, we add the remainder to the itemized list of costs you see on the checkout page. The price youre seeing in (customers native currency) on the product page includes some of these costs in order to provide a figure closer to the actual amount you will eventually pay, allowing you to make a better judgment as to whether the pricing is competitive.
