I'm wanting to buy pearl stud earrings for my mom. But i dont know what kind to buy or which is better freshwater, faux, or what? My buget is 35.00 or lower or maybe a little more

actually i would get her mother of pearl they are unbeleivably beautiful :)

Mother of pearl I think are not in your budget. You should be able to find fresh water pearls in your range and if you can get 7 mm or 8 mm that is a nice size and they look really nice too. It sounds like a really lovely gift and I'm sure she will love them - I know I would!

Cultured pearls are the way to go. They are real pearls grown in farms, as opposed to natural pearls that have to be hunted or faux pearls that are made from plastic or glass. Natural pearls will be out of your price range (and mine and my mom's and almost everyone's), but cultured pearls are beautiful and authentic. Other than that, just choose the color and size you like. These are the differences between the freshwater and saltwater pearls -- it all depends on the mollusk used to create the pearl.

for 35.00 you can find a nice strand of fresh water pearls and earings and perhaps a bracelett.. fresh water pearls are in fasion and affordable and come in many colors. JCPenny is selling 100inch strand of 8/9 cm for only $99.99. You should be able to find a set for under 35.00 easily

Fresh water pearls are always a good way to go if you're on a budget, but you can also get other types of pearl earrings for pretty inexpensive too. These akoya pearl earrings are a great deal, and they're even on 14k gold studs so they won't irritate sensitive ears. http://www.overstock.com/Jewelry-Watches/14k-Gold-Akoya-Pearl-Stud-Earrings-4-mm/501880/product.html?rcmndsrc=2
