Watch issues

I have purchased at least 7 watches through the site, in the last year or so. The 3 I purchased for my wife, have worked great for here and she is pretty hard on watches. However I have had a different experience with 3 of the 4 watches I bought for personal use. I am the opposite of my wife, and how my watches are cared for. I love watches, and am extremely careful with them, and have collected them for years. Yet three of the watches purchased from Overstock.com for my own use, have had problems in a short amount of time, and the two most expensive, are in need of battery replacement in under a years time. One of the arms on my Croton Chronograph watch has fallen off, and two of the "complications" have never timed correctly. The Croton Chronograph and my Akribos XXIV Chronograph, are both in need of batteries, in less than a year. Having owned over 50 watches thus far in my life, I have never had a watch need the battery replaced in such a short period of a time, and now I have two. That makes me wonder about the watches history. In my experience new watches almost always have something holding the crown out, so the battery doesn't start draining until the watch is in use. That wasn't the case with either of the mentioned watches. In the past, getting the battery replaces in a watch, wasn't a big deal to me as I just took it to a dealer. However being recently disabled and unable to leave the house, everything is a big deal now. That was why I was so happy to find online purchasing. When something like this happens, and then to have it happen three times... cancels out the joy of a new watch. The fact that I use my watches to time when to take medications, and purchasing several specific use watches from you so I have redundancy if one fails, to have three out of four fail is pretty hard to take. The third watch watch I had trouble with, the band broke the first day I wore it.
