What is a datafeed? A datafeed is basically a text file that includes several pieces of information about our products separated by commas. It's very similar to an Excel spreadsheet -- one row for each product, and several columns of information.

What do I do with the datafeed?
Some technically savvy affiliates might load the datafeed into a database and display product information dynamically. If your website uses a database to store link information, then the following information will be extremely helpful.

What kind of datafeeds are available?
In the past 6 months, Overstock has added over 350,000 products primarily in categories like books, movies, music, and video games. Here's some interesting information about our product mix and the number of SKUs in each category (keep in mind that we will continue to grow our selection):
    - Books = 244,420
    - Music = 54,600
    - VHS = 19,280
    - DVD = 17,900
    - Video Games = 1,130
    - All Other product categories = 19,250

We have created a datafeed for books, music, VHS, DVDs, Video Games, and all other product categories, which are available right now. These datafeeds are available from the Overstock.com ftp site and updated by 3AM Mountain Time every day.
