    Story Behind the Art:

    Artisans who make jewelry have tremendous resources within Brazil, especially in the state of Minas Gerais, where artisans work with natural materials such as seeds, shells, animal teeth, and the plentiful sources of gold and precious stones, especially in its riverbeds and soils. It is in the cities of Minas Gerais where some of Brazil's first notable artists flourished.
