Story Behind the Art:

Juan and Avencio Cardenas Arellano were born in Huancayo in Peru. Juan, born in 1952, is ten years Avencio's senior, but the two work together very well. Avencio is very proud of one of his older works, 'The Virgin of Guadalupe,' which is on display in Mexico and has received very good reviews. Juan is a bit more quiet and is enchanted with weaving charming portrayals of little children. He loves capturing their expressions and the many different facets his daughters have exhibited and that have moved him.
