Batik is a fabric art in which a mixture of melted wax is painted by hand onto areas where color is not desired. When the fabric is crumpled into the dying solution, the wax cracks, creating an attractive network of fine lines. The wax is removed and the process is repeated for each color utilized.
Nyoman Nadri is an artisan of bed covers, pillowcases, sarongs, shawls, and many other textile arts. She started her career in embroidery in 1987, taking orders to make pillowcases and bags from 1989 until 1992. In 1995, she turned to batik when she learned it from a friend.
The handcrafted nature of this product will produce minor differences in design and sizing. Subtle variations will occur from piece to piece, adding to its unique qualities. Measurements may vary slightly.

I was surprised as to the presentation of the shipped item. It was inside a lovely gift box, that can easily be used again. The robe is everything I was looking for in a spring/summer piece. It is very soft and flowing, feels great on. As one size fits all, it has ample material to make it fit just about anyone well. I love it.
I have been looking for exactly this style of kimono for several years as I outgrew my old one. The fabric is wonderfully soft the fit is perfect...only wish it had pockets. Love it! It also arrived in a beautiful box...just like a gift.
Softer than I expected - even though I read the reviews that mentioned how incredibly soft it is - it's really true!I'm about 5"8, 130 lbs. and though I'd like the robe, which is pretty much one size fits all, to fit snugly, it looks great, the colours are beautiful, and it is super comfortable!I'm considering buying something similar for my future sister-in-law, so I would definitely recommend this item as a lovely present, either to yourself or to someone else! Item came in a beautiful red box, so all you'd have to do is gift wrap the box if you're going to be giving this to someone as a present.Note about the shipping: the package made its way from Indonesia to Rhode Island in only 7 or 8 days through FedEx!
I bought 2 of them -- one for me and one for my daughter-in-law. She doesn't have hers yet but I have worn mine every night. In the 98+ degree weather, it's hard to find something that covers yet remains cool but this is it. My husband loves it, I love it, the presentation is beautiful. I am not a small person so it covered my ample figure so the one-size is not just for little folks and I am pleased all the way around. In fact, I am going to purchase the blue one and I plan to buy some for Xmas gifts this year!
