Story Behind the Art:
These are fair trade products, handmade by artisans of north western region of India. The applique work is hand done by village women. The designs and motifs are inspired by nature and 'mandanas' (traditional patterns made on floor). This is a drought prone region and this art is the main source of income in drought and non agriculture times.
The handcrafted nature of this product will produce minor differences in design and sizing. Subtle variations will occur from piece to piece, adding to its unique qualities. Measurements may vary slightly.

this bag is large enough to serve as a purse/diaper bag for me. Beautiful design. A bit concerned about the long-term appearance as the bag is made of muslin and can only be dry-cleaned.

I'm totally in love with this bag. I purchased three other bags at the same time- this bag being the last b/c I was apprehensive due to no reveiws of the product. Went out on the limb and purchased the black tree. So glad I did. Strap a little wider then I would have liked and I'm not crazy above the velco that holds the flap down (one positive about that though: you don't have to worry about anyone sticking their hands into the purse while you're wearing it.) The design totally makes up for any shortcomings. Extremely bold and gorgeous black on a cream/off white background. Bag larger then I anticipated, but I'll live.
