In 1993, Pramana Suantara opened his workshop in the small village of Ubud, which has since produced some of the finest examples of Balinese artisanship. It was Pramana's experience as a caregiver for the Red Cross that inspired his philanthropic mission. For ten years he provided aid to the sick and suffering people of Indonesia, traveling from Badung to Tabanan. During this time, when opportunity afforded him, Pramana would collect the hued and motley shells born from the azure sea. Assisted by local and rural artisans, Pramana Suantara shares with you authentic Balinese shell craft and jewelry. He continues, through his work, to support and preserve the people of Bali and Balinese tradition.

I love this piece. I've never seen anything like it in all my jewelry shopping days. It's striking, affordable and solid. I don't expect that this will fall apart any time soon. I can switch the chain/cord that I hang it on and have the pendant hit my neck or chest where I most want it featured depending on my outfit's neckline.I haven't worn it that much yet but it's already garnered compliments. A good buy.
I'm still debating how much I like this pendant. The silver on it is beautiful. It's the coral I'm not sure about. Some days I like it and other days it looks like a piece of wood.
The workmanship is good.. There is attention to details and the pendant is thick enough not to be too fragile. The color is not as red as I had hoped but it is pretty and consistent throughout the pendant.I would def. recommend this for the price.
