Born on March 3, 1974 in the Gianyar Regency. Due to harsh economic circumstances, Wirawan worked after school in order to be able to pay for school tuition and whatever else he needed for his studies. He walked far everyday to Celuk, a village renowned for its silver and gold jewelry and where he began to acquire the elements of his craft. Wirawan worked hard every day, sometimes for long hours.
