I love these candle holders, can't wait to move so I can set them up. As other reviewers stated each piece is not made from a solid piece of wood as the description implies, and one of mine had a loose base when it arrived, which is repairable. I can overlook the flaw because they are so awesome otherwise.

Very nice - read the reviews. They look almost black on-line but actually are more brown in color. Easy to darken with stain. Look great and very expensive

These candleholders are great. I bought two sets to put on each side of my fireplace mantle. They are very big and sturdy. I've looked around at a lot and haven't see any nearly as good as these. I have very dark wood in my house and might try staining them a little darker, but they are already pretty dark.

I JUST RECIEVED MY CANDLEHOLDERS THEY ARE ABSOLUTLY BEAUTIFUL. EXACTLY WHAT I EXPECTED THE CRAFTMANSHIP IS EXQUISIT THEY ARE ALSO VERY HEAVY I LOVE THAT I HAD READ IN ANOTHER REVIEW THAT THE BASE WAS SEPERATE I WAS PREPARED TO USE A LITTLE WOOD GLUE ALSO BUT TO MY SURPRISE IT CAME IN ONE PIECE (EVEN BETTER) ALSO NICE BIG SIZE AND MINE ARE VERY STURDY I LOVE THEM

I am in the Interior Design industry and I purchased this set for my personal home. When I received them I was pleased enough that I didn't feel the need to return them. However, they are not constructed in one solid piece and they were of a cherry finish. I was hoping for a mahogany finish. It was a simple fix for me considering it was the design and mass I was looking for. I simply added a little wood glue to unify the top and bottom pieces and then I lightly sanded the units and added my desired finish as well as some accent paint for an antiqued effect. I ABSOLUTELY LOVE THEM, NOW. I would like to order them for my mom, but she lives in another state and I would want to touch them up first, then ship them to her.

purchase from Overstock..... My candle holders appeared like they were made by two different people..The color of them were noticeable different as well as the overall appearance of them.....I had to put them each in a different location... They were extremely unstable as well, even after i put a thin cork bottom on them.... I definitely would not feel comfortable burning candles in them, for fear that they would topple over...... I have always been real pleased with l purchases made from Overstock ...I'm sure a few bad candlestick holders won't stop me from making future purchases. Other then this purchase i have been real pleased with other items i have purchased from worldstock... i have picked up several really neat items.

I bought two sets of these candle holders. They look gorgeous in front of my fireplace. You will not be disappointed. They are made with great quality and surprisingly heavy!!

I purchased the product based on others reviews and frankly, I'm little dissapointed. Firstly, candleholders are too big to put them on the table. Secondly, they had some cracks, in one the base was not attached properly to the top. I was considering to return them, since now on I would be more caution to rely on reviews if any available before purchasing from your site.

I really liked the look of these candle holders and after reading the reviews I purchased them. I received them today and was so sadly disappointed! There were hairline cracks all over, everywhere that the pieces were glued showed glue badly, and the kicker to it all is that neither piece sat level. I sat them both on a solid level surface and both wobbled enough to make them unsafe to put lit candles in. I tried a couple of other level surfaces, just in case, and the same thing happened. It's too bad because I truly liked the pieces when I saw them on this site. I am sending this pair back.

I purchased these Candle sticks for a holiday gift for friends of our who are of indian decent! Much to my amazement when I received them they were exquisite! The quality and workmanship was just unbelievable for the value & we are sure they will be a wonderful addition to our friends beautiful home!
