Story Behind the Art

Julio Chocano Gonzalez (Huanuco, 1937), is a silversmith with the precision of a surgeon. To the silver's inherent nobility, he adds his own beauty. 'I am motivated to make my culture known to the world. I believe my work has an essence of autochthonous inspiration. My jewelry transmits the Inca art developed by our Inca ancestors.'
