Story Behind the Art:

Shanker went to school till 10th grade, then went to work with his parents. 'During those days, my maternal uncle worked with a jeweler; I was fascinated by the jewelry he designed. I quit farming and started my own shop. I started designing and crafting silver jewelry and, slowly, established myself in the field. Initially, I faced problems as people in my village prefer gold. So I set up a new workshop in the city. Since then, I have achieved a lot.'
