Story Behind the Art:

Indah and Indra are a husband and wife team from Java, Indonesia, specializing in wood batik artistry. 'We have always worked as a team. We work at our own family workshop and we are assisted by several women artists, since wood batik requires careful detail. Our family is our main source of encouragement, and we work really hard, always keeping the spirit of our family unity. Indra (my husband) focuses more on the designs, while I look after the administrative side. We like to work like that, as a team. We have been working like this since 1994, and it has always worked great.

The handcrafted nature of this product will produce minor differences in design and sizing. Subtle variations will occur from piece to piece, adding to its unique qualities. Measurements may vary slightly.
