The Story Behind the Product
Nana was born to a family of 9 children in the town of Kumasi in Ghana, West Africa. His parents divorced when he was only 8 years old and Nana became so rebellious that his mother sent him to live with his father in Tamale (in the Northern region of Ghana) when Nana was 12 years old. It was there that he developed an interest in art. He dropped out of school when he was 14 and started training with a master carver in Tamale. In 2000 Nana began selling his products through Worldstock. Nana is now married with 3 children and lives in Accra, Ghana. He is now a master carver with his own shop and 10 employees. Nana?s life has been so improved since he began working with Worldstock that he named his son after his contact at Overtsock.com.

Customer Reviews
Lovely baskets, very reasonably priced. One of the reviews suggested that I soaked them in water, protecting the handles. I did that and they came apart easily.I am happy with my purchase.
I bought these baskets anticipating Christmas however I have 3 of them throughout my house as they are beautiful and very handy. I have since noticed many people using the baskets at farmers markets for the treasures they find. Love them and hopefully I some left for Christmas presents!
This is a great addition to a tribal basket collection. The baskets are brilliantly colorful and a welcome addition to any decor. They look fabulous with my Sea Island basket collection.
When I saw these baskets, I was thrilled... more on the price. When I received them, it was hard pulling them apart and to reshape them but overall, they're great! They make great decorative pieces for shelves and to store bath items in.
I have a basket like this that I paid twice as much for as these baskets so was excited to find these at this price. I was so dismayed to find these baskets practically crushed, nested inside one another in a smaller shipping box. I read the instructions and figured they would be fine after soaking and they were, aside from some slight damage from them rubbing tightly when trying to extract one from another. I might attempt to wet them first before separating them in order to avoid that next time. I soaked them each in the sink for a short time, keeping the water off the leather handle wraps and reshaped them and they are gorgeous. The colors are so nice, vibrant but not garish, and I know from experience that with some care they will last for years and years. Great decorative items that are practical and pretty.
