This is a Fair Trade product, handcrafted by artisans in India. These cushions are handmade by intricate cut-work and applique art. The entire patch is made using a single piece of fabric without any joints. This is a traditional art of Northwestern Rajasthan, a desert region on the border of India and Pakistan. This is an area of limited opportunities and these products are providing sustainable employment and economic opportunities. Fair Trade practices ensures fair wages, no child labor, equal rights for women, preservation of traditional arts and development opportunities for these underprivileged artisans.
