Story Behind the Art:
This product was created in North Western India. Once the British removed its armed forces from the region in the late 40s a majority of the industries available for the local economy disappeared with them. People went back to the traditional crafts and furniture manufacturing that they had known for generations. Several hub cities of industry have flourished, creating numerous, sustainable, and stable jobs for the people of the surrounding villages, to augment the time in between harsh growing seasons.
The handcrafted nature of this product will produce minor differences in design and sizing. Subtle variations will occur from piece to piece, adding to its unique qualities. Measurements may vary slightly.

I am in the process of redoing my 1980's kitchen -I have been looking for something different,really eclectic-these chairs are perfect! I ordered two first so we could get a sense of their "feel".After living and sitting on them for a week we went ahead and ordered four more! These chairs also come fully assembled! GREAT VALUE,GREAT LOOK!
We needed chairs in the retail area of our new business and wanted something different but affordable. These chairs are it! Nice looking, compact and unique, these chairs were half the cost of other decent, but average looking chairs (remember you get 2 in a package and no assembly required!)
The iron legs seem durable and the leather is pretty tight and secure on the frame - we are hoping they prove to be as durable as they look. I think they are actually nicer looking than in the photo. The only thing that suprised me was that the back of the chair is a solid leather panel, not the woven pattern visible on the front. It does not look bad, it was just not what we expected since we hadn't seen a picture of the back.
Overall, a great purchase and I can't wait to get feedback from our customers when we open our shop!
