Story Behind the Art

Made in the same workshop for the past 12 years. Mr. Mahmoud Abdel Nabi was born in the Egyptian countryside and moved to Cairo at an early age. Mr. Abdel Nabi has worked in the field of marble, alabaster and stone for most of his adult life.

What is Worldstock?

Alabaster products are manufactured by hand, using alabaster from every commercial quarry in Egypt. Alabaster is a natural, translucent marble which can vary in color from a clear lemon color to a rich shade of mango orange or even a very light cafe au lait. Each piece will be unique and variation from the photo should not be considered a flaw.

These votives are beautiful and large. I thought they would be more of an orange color, but they are yellow and white. Again, Overstock, help us out here with truer color pics, please. Otherwise, I am pleased with these votives. I would definitely recommend these lovely votives to my friends. I have already received compliments on them.
