Story Behind the Art:
The San Juan Weavers Group was organized among Tzutujil women in the Guatemalan highlands who weave using backstrap Ikat, an ancient, labor-intensive technique of hand-tying and dying threads in elaborate patterns. Their style of weaving uses textured cotton thread which softens with each washing.
The handcrafted nature of this product will produce minor differences in design and sizing. Subtle variations will occur from piece to piece, adding to its unique qualities. Measurements may vary slightly.

This bag is wonderful! The weaving is exquisite and the construction of the bag itself is first rate. It holds everything I need to tote around and is very comfortable to carry. The strap is wide enough so it's not constantly sliding off my shoulder and long enough that I can sling it across my body. The olive green goes well with all my fall clothing and I'm thinking I'll need another one for spring and summer!
I love this bag. I got it in olive green and it goes with just about everything. Has a funky world look. The best part about it is the craftsmanship. The weaving is perfect, the bag is sturdy and I can tell it won't fall apart in a week of wearing it like a lot of other cloth bags. I'm very happy with this bag!
