It's 1.1 billlion people, 26 states, 18 languages, and 1500 dialects has an extremely large range of handicrafts from each of the states, employing 9 to 10 million artisans who live below the poverty line in the country's most remote areas. There are a number of craft organizations that help women artisans and the most underprivileged artisans in rural areas. Artisan communities are always looking for markets to give them enough sales volume to lift themselves out of poverty.

This product brings back memories of home and is an absolutely beautiful piece. Would have liked for it to come with the metal screen being covered by glass to provide a smooth surface.
