Story behind the art: Mr. Velasquez started his job as a carpenter with his father in his own house. He has learned from his father how to work with wood and leather. In the 70's the furniture with carved leather was very famous. In the 80's Mr. Velasquez opened his own small factory and started with the export business, but still kept the leather furniture line. Since starting work with Overstock they have opened a new furniture line. The combination of glass and painting included in the furniture give us a very good result. After a year the factory was to small to attain all orders. So they found a new factory with a better location. Now working with 30 employees, they have their own oven for drying the wood. They are very happy that Overstock gave us the possibility to grow up and give him a better life quality.

I'm really happy with this purchase. It's a beautiful wood work, solid, stilish and elegant. The reverse painted decoration is unique. The cushion is red tomato, exactly the color that I wanted. It's perfect for the entryway. Now I'm looking for a mirror with the same reverse painted style that can combine with the bench, I will be checking overstock.com to see if I can find it. I really recommend it. It's a great piece of furniture.P.S. No assembly required!
This is a very pretty addition to any room. I was surprised at how the glass sparkled in the doors. It arrived well packed and flawless. I would highly recommend this to anyone looking for something different.
I like this bench a bunch. The cushion is definitely red and not orange like the picture. There was one scuffed place on the front left side which I was not completely happy about, but it is tolerable. Otherwise, nice bench, looks good in front of my bedroom furniture. It has an oriental feel to it.
I received this bench a bit damaged in the corner but not noticeably so I decided it wasnt worth the trouble of returning it. I agree with the others that the cushion is definitely a true red and not like the picture. Rust would have looked better with my furniture but the red is fine for now. Overall, the bench is beautiful, provides extra seating in my living room and a great place for me to stow the babies toys. I am happy with this purchase!
