Story behind this unique and unrivaled Meshkabad Persian rug
Meshkabad rugs are hand-woven by semi-nomadic people living in the village of Meshkabad, near Arak in north-western Iran. The central fields usually have a warm floral-patterned medallion, and the colors are very warm and lively. However, geometric patterns are sometimes used, and many other colors besides red can be found. This rug was made circa 1920, and it is unusual for tribal people to weave such large rug. For this rug, weavers spent five years weaving. This rug is made of fine baby lamb's wool and the dyes are all vegetable. It is currently believed to be the largest floor rug of its kind in the United States and we will provide the certificate of authenticity with a detailed description of the rug.
The handcrafted nature of this product will produce minor differences in design and sizing. Subtle variations will occur from piece to piece, adding to its unique qualities. Measurements may vary slightly.

Being an "O" member, I really saved a lot on this rug!! Unfortunately it was a little too small for the billiard room, so the wifey suggested we cut it up and use it to line the shelves in our linen closet. Worked like a charm!!

I had high expectations based off of earlier reviews, but I have to say that I am quite dissappointed. BIG...sure I like that, but the weave is so loose you can ride a camel through it. WELL MADE? Not so much...my Tigers shredded it over the weekend.
I expected it to feel like an Oasis- it's more like an NOasis

was going to use this for guests to wipe their shoes off on as I have a mud covered drive-way but it was just a bit too large for in front of my door.
