    Story Behind the Product:

Moroccan lanterns are exquisitely handmade by talented artisans in Morocco. These lanterns feature intricately-designed cutout iron works and stained glass. What makes Moroccan lanterns truly unique is that they are not mass-produced, but rather individually handcrafted by artisans dating back from the Bronze Age. Typical Moroccan lanterns are made of stained glass framed in black wrought iron with different sizes and shapes. These Moroccan lanterns will surely add a magical ambiance to any room.

Not golden

slewfootsue from San Anselmo, CA, Nov 13, 2008

The color of the metal is black, not the golden tone shown in the photo. However, I believe it is a good value. Contact Customer Service to find out how large an electric bulb (how many watts) can be safely used. (I have not received that info yet so I can't pass it along.)

Hand made by Hand

moroccantreasuresdotcom from Sapulpa, Oklahoma, Jun 19, 2008

Each is unique and hand made by hand. No two are ever exactly alike and each hole, design, cut out is done by the persons hand tool not a machine or a die cut press. This is art not manufactured perfection. The rusty patina is classic to these and on purpose.

they are ok

nikos13 from Farmingdale , NJ, May 16, 2008

Basically read the details, well there is rust on them, which gives them this look and obviously its not brass but rather thin iron sheets they look great when hanging. I used a kitchen sponge and WD40 and went over them which made them look great and then went over them with a little oil overall if you look on the web its a good value but workmanship not fantastic if you pay attention to every detail. but again when hanging they look fantastic
