These gorgeous boxes are handcrafted by artisans in Delhi, the capital of India. Each box features brass inlays of moons and stars. Use them to store jewelry or any small personal items.
Muhammad Nadim is a 22 year old from Saranpur, Uttar Pardesh. He makes many wooden handicrafts, including exquisite moon-star wooden jewelry boxes with brass inlays. He has been carving wood since a little boy. ?Since the age of 14 I have been working on wood. I always wanted to be an artisan, like my father. This is the best work for us. This is what we know. It is said that a man with some skill can never go hungry in his life. He will make use of his skill to win his dinner,? says Nadim.
Muhammad Nadim says they face no shortage of wood in Saranpur. There are six members in his family including is parents, his two brothers and a sister. His brother is also an artisan. The females of the house help in polishing and buffing the handicrafts. Nadim says he can make seven boxes in a day, though the brass inlay can take more time. He hopes you enjoy his work.
The handcrafted nature of this product will produce minor differences in design and sizing. Subtle variations will occur from piece to piece, adding to its unique qualities. Measurements may vary slightly.

Very nice in appearance and workmanship. The sizing was accurate to the outside measurements as one would guess (unlike my previous purchase of another box set that the measurements reflected the inside!!) Consistency and clarity in the descriptions are important. I am very pleased with this set and would recommend it.

The boxes had very beautiful workmanship. The two boxes could be given to one or two people and would be admired by both males and females alike.

The boxes arrived sooner than expected, which is always a nice suprise. They are very attractive, but difficult to open as the lid and the base fit together a bit too snugly. Nothing a little sandpaper won't fix, but I shouldn't have to mess with them.
