This Ming Dynasty style stand has been handcrafted by talented artisans in China's Guangdong province using classic mortise and tenon techniques. It's ideal for displaying fishbowls, planters, vases, or jardinieres. Choose from three sizes: 8.5, 9.5, or 10.5 in. diameter. Be sure to choose a stand one size larger than the diameter of whatever you wish to display.
The Story Behind the Product
This factory is located in the Guangdong region of mainland China. The father is the main person in charge and employs many family members. Day to day operations are run by an aunt while the son is being groomed to take over once his father retires - all of this family greatly adds to the quality and productivity of this factory. Over 300 skilled and non-skilled craftsman work together, passing knowledge and craftsmanship from generation to generation. The working conditions of this group are excellent. The factory provides an excellent lunch each day for the staff. Attending strictly to the local and international anti-dumping and fair trade practice laws, Oriental Homes is proud to bring a piece of their culture into your home.
